Andreas Fuchs Light Designer
Andreas Fuchs has been working as a lighting designer since 1989. He has worked among others with, Claus Peymann, Stephan Bachmann, Daniel Libeskind, Aletta Collins, Herzog and de Meron, Matteo Thun, The Bolshoi Ballett, Martin Wuttke, Giorgio Armani, Volker Schlöndorff, Rebecca Horn, Aletta Collins, Runar Hodne and Gil Mehmert. Since 1992, he has been working as a lighting designer for Robert Wilson. He did the light for the world tours of Dr. Faustus Lights the Lights, Hamlet a Monologue, Une Femme Douce and Dreamplay. He also designed the light for Wilson's productions of Three Sisters, The Ring of the Nibelungen, The Woman without a Shadow, Leonce and Lena, Threepenny Opera, Shakespeare's Sonnets and Das Maedchen mit den Schwelhoelzern. Over the years Andreas Fuchs work has been seen in major opera houses, theatres and festivals worldwide. Among others at the Opera of Monte Carlo, Festival de Théâtre des Amériques Montreal, Salzburg Festival, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Opera Bastille Paris, Staatsoper Berlin, Opera la Monnaie Brussels, Zurich Opera House, Venice Biennale, Hong Kong Arts Festival, Grand Theater de Geneve, Barbican Center London, Edinburgh International Festival, Nationaltheater Oslo, Stadsteatern Stockholm, Dramaten Stockholm, Lincoln Center New York and Ruhrtriennale. Since 2005 he has been working as a production and lighting designer for Marius Müller-Westernhagen.
In 2014 he did the lighting design for the world premiere of the musical »Das Wunder von Bern« for Stage Entertainment in Hamburg.
Andreas Fuchs also does designs for architectural projects such as the Museum für Kommunikation und Technik in Hamburg or the Zeitgeschichtliche Forum Leipzig as well as corporate events for Samsung, Skoda, Universal Music, Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz, Bayer, IBM, Siemens, SAP and Bosch.
